Class is now in session! Using fresh and organic ingredients from the Driftless Market, you will learn to prepare Moroccan Lentil Stew with Raisins from scratch.! When the soup is finished, we will have our very own dinner party and enjoy what we have created.

The cost is $10 a person and can be paid at the start of the class.

Join the Driftless Market on Saturday, Dec. 28th from 11am to 1pm in welcoming Lancaster native Joel Austin for a book signing of the recently released "Discovering the Penokees". Joel is originally from Lancaster and now lives in the Ashland area. His passion for the environment is evident in recent creative endeavors of his that highlight the beauty and the importance of the Penokee Hills and the Lake Superior Watershed which are currently threatened by proposed Open Pit mining.

In its upcoming release, Discovering the Penokees, Sweetwater Visions introduces readers to one of North America’s least known wild treasures, the Penokee Hills of northern Wisconsin. With over 100 stunning images, photographer/author Joel Austin details the beauty of the Penokees--both intimate and grand, accessible and remote, rugged and extremely fragile.

Make Platteville Main Street your destination for holiday fun and shopping on Small Business Saturday. A special event this year will be the Pop Up "THAT TREE" Art Gallery at 35 West Main Street featuring a gallary display of Mark Hirsch's famous That Tree photographic images along with artist books signing from 10am-5pm. Artist Reception will be from 5pm-8pm.

Extend the gallery experience up and down Main Street where up to 8 additional locations will have a "That Tree" image for viewing as well as extended shopping hours, and other special events .

Some specials at the Driftless Market will be an original Mark Hirsch That Tree  image and display for the UW Platteville Tree Lab and their area projects.
