Pesto is the most popular way of enjoying basil. It can be made in large quantities in the summer with fresh basil, then frozen to add life to the winter pasta dishes.
Place garlic and nuts in a blender with a little olive oil. Blend on high, to chop nuts. Add basil and parsley; drizzle in oil as needed to make a nice paste.
Serve as a sauce to freshly cooked pasta or spread on pizza crust and top with your favorite veggies.
